THE GREAT PRAM PUSH

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

In registering for the 2011 The Great Pram Push (Event) I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. The entry fee is non-refundable under any circumstances and not transferable and entitles only the person whose name and address is on the entry form to participate in the Event. All proceeds will be shared between Starlight Foundation and Children’s Leukemia and Cancer Research Foundation.

2. I release any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from any claims, demands or proceedings arising out of or connected with the participant's participation in the Event including (without limitation) when they are caused by their negligence, and each participant indemnifies them and will keep them indemnified against all liability for all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with the participant's participation in this Event. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds each participant's heirs, successors, executors, administrators, personal representatives and assigns.

3. I certify that I am 18 years or older. If the entrant is under 18 years of age, I declare that I am the parent/legal guardian of the participant who is under the age of 18 years whom has my consent to participate in the Event and on whose behalf I agree to these terms and conditions. In the case of children under the age of 3 years, I declare that I will have that child/children under my direct supervision for the duration of the Event.

4. I acknowledge that this event will be attended by children. Whilst the organisers of the Event encourage a competitive spirit it is not at the expense of the safety and wellbeing of the children. I acknowledge that any conduct that endangers other participants or children or recklessly disregards the safety and wellbeing of others will not be tolerated.

5. I am participating in the event at my own risk and acknowledge that:

a. participating in the Event may involve a real risk of serious injury or even death;

b. I am physically fit to compete safely in the Event and have sought medical advice if I have not exercised for some time or am suffering from any medical condition; and

c. I consent to medical treatment that the Event organisers or authorised representatives consider appropriate during or after the Event.

6. I give permission, for no fee or remuneration, for the use of my name, statements or picture in any form of media in any context relating to the Event or otherwise during or after the Event.

7. I agree to all rules and regulations and will conform with them along with any other instructions (whether announced on the day of the Event or otherwise) given by the Event organisers and their staff.

8. The Great Pram Push Incorporated reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions up to and including the date of the Event. Variations will be posted on the Event website.

9. The Great Pram Push Incorporated reserves the right to cancel the Event and refuse a participant's attendance at and/or participation in the Event.

10. The Great Pram Push Incorporated respects and values the privacy of all information collected about Event participants. All information collected about participants is for the administration and conduct of the Event. Information collected will be securely stored on the database and may be disclosed to medical staff for delivering medical services and to the newspaper for publishing participant's times. By entering this Event, you consent to your personal information being collected by The Great Pram Push Incorporated. You further consent to receiving information from The Great Pram Push Incorporated and its agents about the Event. Your information may also be used by The Great Pram Push Incorporated and sponsors of the Event for future promotions to you of The Great Pram Push. By entering the event, you also acknowledge that you may be photographed or filmed during the event, and consent to The Great Pram Push Incorporated using those images to publicise and promote future Great Pram Push events.

You may withdraw your consent at any time in writing to The Great Pram Push Incorporated. After a period of time The Great Pram Push Incorporated will destroy the personal information of all participants held by them, apart from information required to be kept for tax purposes, after which it will be destroyed.

If you do not wish to provide personal information, which is required, you may not be able to be properly registered for the Event, or contacted in case of changes to the Event. You have a right to access your personal information, which is held by the above entities. The personal information collected in connection with the Event and this statement is separate from, and without prejudice to, any other personal information concerning you collected and held by The Great Pram Push Incorporated.

THE PRAMS HAVE BEEN PUSHED
The Newmont 2011 Great Pram Push was a huge success, with well over 100 prams plus parents and grandparents crowding The Esplanade, Fremantle.

We aimed to raise $10,000. We beat that. Through sponsorship and online fundraising we raised $11,700 for the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Little Takas Sunday Stroll (4km) -
Feel like a Sunday Stroll? Then register for our 4km Sunday Stroll - perfect for Grannies and

Granddads, Mums and Dads, Aunts, Uncles. All you need to take part is to be pushing a pram carrying a child (or two).

Mums and Bubs Run (8km) - for the ladies and the bubs, stretch your legs and your pram wheels over our running friendly course – great prizes up for grabs.

Dads and Bubs Run (8km) - for the gents and bubs, this pleasant pram pushing 8km run will get you in the mood for a hearty Sunday brunch.

VENUE
The Esplanade, Fremantle
Register @ 8.00am. First run starts @ 8.30am

Every registered participant can set up their own fundraising page and help raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation. Donations to your fundraising tally are tax deductible.
